I've been on a book buying spree lately and have brought in a host of new books to the welcoming embrace of my bookshelves. Yes, I really do buy books, too. This post was just long overdue. I should really have updated sooner. I think I've forgotten some stuff that I purchased a couple months ago.

Perhaps something is in the air; lately, I've been buying enough to make one think I've nothing in my TBR pile.
There's a euphoria in the shopping experience. I'm sure you enjoy as much as I do.
I also bought Ventriloquism and that may be the most beautiful book (and I mean the outside) that I've seen. The picture doesn't do it justice. The script at the bottom is a Russian children's lullaby.
I'm curious to see what you think of Solitaire. (This is also a good place to mention that Small Beer Press just released a re-print.)
Ventriloquism just arrived. It's purty. Really, really purty.
I do like the new cover for Small Beer's edition of Solitaire, too.
Chad, I've had that same problem, so I agree that something must be in the air!
I read Cowboy Feng's Space Bar and Grill several years ago and really enjoyed it. A couple of years back they re-released it in a trade version and I picked it up just so that I could have a nice copy of it. Fun book.
Definitely want to read The Alchemist. Bacigalupi has become one of those writers who I want to read everything they have, and will, write.
Carl: It's the trade edition of Cowboy Feng that I picked up. I really like Brust. I've been chipping through the primary Vlad Taltos novels over the last year. I think I'm halfway through. Excellent stuff.
Right now I'm just grabbing his books when I run across them. I'll probably pick up the rest of them next year.
I'm still not 100% on Bacigalupi, but when I like his stuff, I really, really like it. I just couldn't pass up the set (on the off chance you didn't know, The Alchemist is a companion novella to The Executioness). I should really try Ship-Breaker, though.
