Via Jennifer Pelland.
I tracked down a copy of the Dark Faith anthology for just a couple of stories from some of my favorite writers, Jennifer Pelland's "Ghosts of New York" right at the top of that list. I wrote about the story back in June. As expected, it was excellent.
But, the story was only available in a small press anthology and I couldn't share this awesomeness with everyone else.
Until now.
Apex has published "Ghosts of New York" on their website for some quality free reading. This would be an excellent time to go read the story. You don't even have to leave the comfort of your house.

Hi Joe,
I'm glad you enjoyed Jen's story. One of the best I've read in awhile.
I have to ask, though, why were you unable to share the story with others because it was published in a small press anthology? Dark Faith is just as available to everyone as anything else on the internet. Heck, if you like eBooks it's also much cheaper.
Hi Jason,
I suppose the "small press" part doesn't make any sense and was poorly worded. I meant to suggest that it wasn't available for free reading online - and that I had some challenges finding the book through my local library.
But, you are right, the anthology was just as available for purchase as every other book is - through various online retailers in multiple formats.
Poorly worded and not at all well thought through on my part.
