The 2005 Pulitzer Prizes were announced today. The winner of the prize for Fiction is
Gilead, by Marilynne Robinson. The book is Robinson's second, and her first in a couple of decades. I haven't read it, nor had I heard of Robinson until Gilead was published earlier last year. Supposedly she is quite a writer and that this book had been anticipated for quite a long time. I suppose I shall have to read it (along with the other Pulitzer Prize winning novels I still have to read).
